This course is dedicated to:

-    pregnant women who want to practice yoga safely

-    yoga teachers who want to prepare classes for pregnant women

-    200 Yoga TTC graduates (RYT 200) who want to learn more about how to modify practice during pregnancy and upgrade their Yoga Alliance credentials

-    prenatal care takers: doulas, midwives, nurses.

The basic one is for those of you who just want to study and learn. The full version is for those who want to complete the program with the exam and Yoga Alliance certificate.

The full version includes 3 mentoring sessions with Karo Sharma, homework and final exam. The basic version gives you just an access to the videos and reading materials.


Following topics are covered in this program:

  • Multi-style prenatal and postnatal asana classes (gentle flow, hatha, restorative yoga)

  • Yoga practices dedicated to each trimester, including asanas, pranayama & chanting, meditation

  • Contraindications and benefits of a yoga practice during pregnancy

  • Postnatal yoga practice – asanas, sequencing, techniques for the recovery after birth

  • Anatomy & physiology of pregnancy

  • Adjustments and alignment during pregnancy

  • Psychological considerations during pregnancy

  • Philosophy: yogic and vedic view on pregnancy and motherhood, theory of karma, vedic rituals for new borns (*only in residential courses)

  • Circle of women as a tool supporting during pregnancy

  • Teaching experience, personal feedback and mentoring with Karo Sharma
